Quetta: Opposition leader in Balochistan assembly, Maulana Abdul Wassay has declined the chances of meeting with federal government and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqaan Abbasi related to no confidence motion against Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri.
He expressed these views while addressing a press conference in opposition chamber of provincial assembly here on Tuesday along with former speaker Balochistan Jan Jamali, former deputy speaker Balochistan Mir Abdul Qadoos Bazinjo, Parliamentary leader of Awami National Party (ANP) in Balochistan assembly Engineer Zmurk Khan Achakzai, former interior minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Tahir Mehmood, Mufti Gulab Kakar, Molvi Maazullah, Abdul Majid Abrho and others.
“We will not allow at any cost government’s allegiance with those who are conspiring against our party leaders as Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, Asfand Yar Wali and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had strengthened government against Imran Khan’s sit-in,” he lashed out.
He opined that no confidence motion is a constitutional and democratic right, government and opposition members has submitted the motion using their due right and it will be presented before the provincial assembly for voting today (Tuesday).
Maulana Abdul Wassay held nationalists’ responsible for this chaos saying that they (nationalists) pushed the CM towards the end where even government lawmakers stood against him.
Provincial opposition leader disclosed formation of a grand alliance for elimination of this ‘corrupt’ governments’ setup saying that allies would not be able to save the provincial government now as allies forced opposition to table no confidence motion against the chief minister, Sanaullah Zehri, he added.
“How can those talk about democratic process who distributed sweets when Raisani government had toppled illegally and Governor rule had imposed in the province?” he questioned. Talking about negligence of incumbent provincial government, Maulana Abdul Wassay disclosed that 50 billion rupees lapsed annually during the last four years as provincial government failed to take rights from the center and remained blatantly silent on NFC award during the period, he added.
