KARACHI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa yesterday visited Pakistan Rangers’ Sindh headquarters in Karachi.
Rangers Sindh Director General Major General Muhammad Saeed gave the army chief a detailed briefing about the security situation of the province, including law and order situation in the metropolis, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The army chief appreciated efforts of the Rangers and all other law enforcement agencies for improved security environment.
He said Karachi is an engine of the national economy and we shall further improve its security environment so that positive business trajectory is maintained. Commander Karachi Corps Lieutenant General Humayun Aziz accompanied the army chief during the visit. —Agencies
