QUETTA: Governor Balochistan Justice (R) Amanullah Khan Yasinzai yesterday said that in view of the increasing basic life necessities and to avail the tremendous opportunities created by China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), there is need to develop a strategic short and long-term planning policy in all fields, to fulfill the present and future needs of Balochistan’s people.
“In this regard experts and researchers from higher education institutions can be full of knowledge and experience”, Governor Balochistan said.
He expressed these views students on the occasion of his visit to Balochistan University of Information Technology Engineering Management Sciences, while talking to the Dean, chairman, faculty members and students of the university.
Vice Chancellor BUITEMS, Engineer Ahmed Farooq Bazai was also present on the occasion.
He emphasized academics and researchers to come forward and play their full role in the development of the province through new research and inventiveness.
Governor said it was worth mentioning that the IT University has earned a big name in a short span of time. These achievements have opened new roads of progress for the youths, he added.
Higher education institutions have always contributed to the social and cultural development of the places in which they are located.
Governor said that government is cognizant of the difficulties faced by academics in this region, all possible steps will be taken to resolve their issues.
He stressed academics and scholars to present their positive and valuable suggestions in order to raise the educational standards and formulate a policy guideline to meet public needs.
