QUETTA: Director General National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan Abid Javed yesterday said it was responsibility of all segments of the society to play their vital role to eradicate corruption.
He said this while addressing at Seminar which was organized through cooperation of Balochistan Agriculture and Cooperative Housing Societies.

Investigation Agency (FIA) Muhammad Altaf and other were present on the occasion.
DG NAB said awareness campaign is important against corruption among the society because simple people are being looted by corrupt elements in name of housing schemes other methods in the area. He said there is comprehensive law available for housing schemes in country but it need to be reformed according to era of present. “NAB will take action against those involved in corruption of non functional housing schemes”, he said.
DG NAB said housing schemes are successful in China and India because there is no concept of corruption in this field, saying that same schemes are not promoted in our country due to personal interest and dishonest behavior.
He said limited resources are being utilized to eliminate corruption environment from all official departments and society for sustainable development of country and Balochistan.
“Punishment is extremely vital under law for controlling crimes activities including corruption”, he said and adding that mutual collaboration was significant of skill and participants for development of housing schemes which would help decreasing illegal process. Secretary Balochistan Agriculture and Cooperative Housing Societies Khaliq Kiyani said registration of housing schemes is essential under act 1925 for ensuring transparency of them.
