PESHAWAR: The final of Afghan Refugees Super Cricket League will be played at Peshawar University Campus ground today. Peshawar Refugees Camp will face Charsadda Refugees Camp team in the final match. This was stated by Director General Afghan Refugees Waqar Maroof while talking to media here yesterday. He said Commissioner Afghan Refugees in Peshawar Abbas Khan and representatives of the UNHCR, the real sponsor of the League would grace the occasion as guests.
He disclosed that they have 12 teams comprising of Afghan Refugees youth based in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The League, he said, was aimed at to provide ample opportunities to the youth of Afghan Refugees living in various camps.
He said in the semi-finals have been played earlier on when Charsadda outclassed Haripur by four wickets and moved to the final while
Peshawar stunned strong Nowshera Friends team. All arrangements in this connection have been made well in time for the smooth holding of the League final. He also thanked Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar and Director Sports Bahre Karam and their staff for extending all out support for the smooth conduct of the final.
