LAHORE: Former captain Pakistan women cricket team Sana Mir believes that Pakistan women cricket structure needs to be improved and come on the same level as Australia and England.

While talking to the media, Sana said, “Pakistan Women’s Cricket needs to improve setup, Australia England and India Cricket Structures are far better than ours,”she said.

“If the cricket structure of Pakistan is better, then women cricketers would not have to wait 13 years like me to reach at the top of the rankings,” she added.

Talking about her top ranking, the 32-year-old said, “I waited for so long to come at the top rankings, she said. “Being in the top ranking is an honour for me and my team”

Replying to a question related to her retirement, Mir said, “The question of retirement is very difficult, I often think about it but I love to for Pakistan and will continue playing as long as the team needs me.

Mir was recently named in the ICC Women’s ODI Team of the Year. She also claimed the top spot in ICC ODI bowlers’ rankings in October last year.
