ISLAMABAD: The prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan ordered to reform the sports federations in Pakistan to put sports back on the track in the country.
In a meeting with sports officials, Imran Khan said that a strong and proper infrastructure would be introduced to flourish sports in the country.
The meeting was attended by minister of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Fehmida Mirza, PCB chairman Ehsan Mani, secretary IPC Jameel Ahmed, and others.
Ehsan Mani briefed Khan about the debacle of sports in the country and presented a report based on the recommendations for its betterment.
The issues related to hockey, Squash and other sports were discussed deeply. Meanwhile, PM said that a new infrastructure to bring international sports in Pakistan will also be introduced.
Khan said that lack of facilities is the reason behind Pakistan’s backwardness in the sports sector so they want to facilitate players with all possible facilities. “Lack of facilities demolish the talent in Pakistan,” he stated.
