KARACHI: Hamid Israr produced the best results for Pakistan in the ITF Asia 14 & Under Development Championships 2019 – Division 2, reaching the final of the doubles event with his teammate Hossain Mohammad Roman from Bangladesh.
The championships concluded yesterday at Nonthaburi, Thailand. Hamid Israr played the doubles final for second consecutive tournament pairing with Hossain Mohammad Roman from Bangladesh.
The fourth seed pair of Hamid Israr and Hossain Roman lost the final 6-3, 6-0 to the second seed pair of Mohammad Alkotop (Jordan) and Kasra Rahmani (Iran).
Meanwhile, Hamid Israr finished fifth out of a total of 64 participants, who was the best performer among the Pakistani players. Hassan Ali and Huzaifa Khan finished 9th and 10th respectively, in the boy’s singles category. Sheeza Sajid finished 23rd out of a total of 32 participants in the girl’s singles category.
