KARACHI: Former legendary pacer and skipper Wasim Akram told current and upcoming pacers that there is nothing more important than confidence and discipline for fast bowlers. PCB has arranged online sessions for current and upcoming cricketers to boost their morale by bringing in former successful cricketers, who made their name in the world of cricket.
The former legends are giving pep-up talk to the national cricketers in order to keep them motivated in the backdrop of gloomy situation due to Covid-19 pandemic.
“Bad patches comes in everyone’s career but mastering the fear during these times will bring success,” Wasim said while addressing pacers. Wasim Akram, fondly called ‘Sultan of Swing’ for his ability to swing the ball immensely, said that he would never get complacent with his performance and went with new strategy in every game.
Wasim Akram said that Test cricket is the real game and he always wanted to perform so that he would be remembered for his performance in the longest format and critics would include him All-time Test Eleven.
Wasim has certainly achieved his goal as he is rarely left by cricket pundits when they choose their All-time playing eleven. Wasim Akram further said that it was important for players to develop good chemistry between themselves to put a combined effort against opponents.
