Afridi, Yousuf want Shoaib and Rizvi to solve differences amicably

KARACHI: Former Pakistan captain and all-rounder Shahid Afridi has offered to intermediate between former pace king Shoaib Akhtar and PCB legal advisor Tafazzul Rizvi.

Shoaib Akhtar, recently on his Youtube Channel, has said that Rizvi had pitted board against its players and complicated things and in the meanwhile earn money while dealing their cases.

Taffazul Rizvi has sent Rs100 million legal notice asking the former lethal pacer to retract from his statement and pay the Rs100 million in damages as his statement has questioned and raised fingers on his credibility.

However, Shoaib Akhtar seems to have support from his ex-teammates – almost all super stars including former skipper Younis Khan, Afridi and prolific Mohammad Yousuf.

Younis has outright supported Shoaib Akhtar, which gives credibility to Shoaib’s accusation. Younis has asked PCB to ‘honestly’ evaluate Shoaib’s remarks for the betterment of Pakistan cricket and its players.

PCB has shown its disappointment with Shoaib’s remarks about its legal consultant but it has apparently distanced itself from the controversy and it seems it would not be supporting Rizvi either in his effort to pull the former legends into legal embroil.

However, Shahid Afridi has offered to intervene between Shoaib and Rizvi t amicably resolve the issue.
