KARACHI: Spokesperson of Sindh Government and Advisor for Law, Environment & Coastal Development Barrister Murtaza Wahab has responded to the contradictory statements of PTI leaders regarding the global coronavirus epidemic and said that the Sindh government was being accused that our decisions to prevent coronavirus were excessive.

He said that some leaders had told PTI that coronavirus was a minor flu while PTI leaders alleged that the number of corona positives was being misreported. He also said that perhaps those people were unaware that over 198 people infected with coronavirus had died in Sindh after so many deaths even PTI people say that there was nothing to worry about. He further said that it was alleged that the decisions of Sindh government were based on Karachi hostility.

Spokesperson added that since the relaxation in the lockdown on 14 April, people were still in ICU beds. Out of these patients in ICU beds, 62 are from Karachi. He said that PTI leaders were once again trying to promote linguistic issues and were merely engaged in conspiracies against the PPP government.
