Violation of Disease Act carries heavy fines: Murtaza

KARACHI: Spokesperson for Sindh Government and Advisor for Law, Environment & Coastal Development, Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said in his statement that the Sindh government had taken steps to control coronavirus, and everyone, including factory owners, must now take precautionary measures.

He said: “Violations of the Infectious Diseases Act will result in heavy fines. All the institutions, ncluding citizens, should follow all SOPs of the Home Department for prevention of the virus. Violation of the SOP would result in a fine of up to Rs 1 million. The Sindh government is taking serious steps to prevent coronavirus.”
