KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah yesterday advised the federal government ministers to focus on serving the people in distress, instead of making baseless allegations against the Sindh government. The provincial information minister said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders could not absolve themselves of their responsibilities by repeatedly criticizing the Sindh Chief Minister.
He said that the repeated statements by the PTI spokespersons in which they were trumpeting that the Chief Minister of Sindh was intimidating the people of Sindh over the pandemic of coronavirus was absurd and baseless.
Shah said that at a time when the whole country was facing pandemic like the coronavirus, the federal government and its spokespersons should have followed the PPP and the Sindh government by putting their politics and passion of point scoring in quarantine. The minister said that the entire focus of the federal government spokespersons was on defaming the Sindh government, instead of creating awareness among the people regarding the prevention against the coronavirus.
He said that if the leaders of PTI, instead of wasting their energy on making noise all the time, without any reason, use their energy to save the people from getting affected from Coronavirus, then it was possible that the country might get rid of the pandemic sooner. Shah said that it was very unfortunate that so far we had failed to formulate a national policy regarding preventing people from the coronavirus pandemic.
