KARACHI: Former Brazilian legend and defender Marcos Evangelista de Morais, known as Cafu has joined Pakistan’s tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi in his COVID-19 relief efforts campaign ‘Star Against Hunger’.

Aisam took to Twitter to reveal that Cafu has donated the shirt that he wore in his last spell at ‘Sao Paulo’ in Brazil.

Cafu made 142 appearances for the Brazil national team, he is the most internationally capped Brazilian player of all time.

He represented Brazil in four FIFA World Cups between 1994 and 2006 and is the only player to have appeared in three consecutive World Cup finals, winning the 1994 and 2002.

Earlier, English all-rounder Moeen Ali, Pakistan cricket stars including Shoaib Akhtar, Wasim Akram, Mushtaq Ahmed, and other sportsmen have also contributed to Aisam’s campaign.

It must be noted here that COVID-19 has brought the whole world at a standstill. The world suffered a lockdown situation with all major public gatherings abandoned for an indefinite period of time.
