ISLAMABAD: Advisor Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan has said that the government is ready to discuss all issues including wheat and sugar crisis report with the opposition.
Addressing the National Assembly session, Babar Awan, in reply to the demand to run the parliament according to tradition, said that the government is willing to sit down with the opposition.
Babar Awan said that no one should object to the traditions of the world’s parliaments and we are ready to discuss all issues with the opposition, including wheat and sugar reports.
Earlier in his address, PML-N leader Khawaja Asif had sought permission for six members of the opposition to speak on five important issues in the National Assembly session.
He also demanded that the old tradition of expression be adopted with the opposition speaking first followed by the government. For the last two years, the trend of one member of the opposition speaking and then one from the ruling party is not acceptable.
He said that this buries the real issue behind and creates an atmosphere of bitterness in the House.
